When to choose each supplier

Choose Path when…

You want an account manager to help you set up and test your store. Path includes that help and has no monthly program fee. It can be worth the setup cost if you want someone to walk you through the process. [source]

Choose Dripshipper when…

You want to try selling coffee without paying Path’s $350 or $400 setup fee. Dripshipper Starter costs $30 a month. That leaves more money at the start for samples, your store and finding customers. Keep the monthly fee in mind when planning your costs. [source]

Path’s two setup options: $400 when Path prints labels and $350 when the seller supplies labels.

Compare a full year of fees

Dripshipper Starter costs $30 a month, or $360 for 12 months. Path charges $350 to set up if you provide printed labels, or $400 with its label-printing setup. That is about 11.7 or 13.3 months of Starter fees. These numbers only compare program fees. You still need to add coffee, labels, shipping and any extra services. [source] [source]

Check how your store sends orders

Path uses its ShipStation account to connect supported stores. Dripshipper also works with several store platforms. Test an order with the coffee, grind and address you plan to use. Check that tracking comes back to your store. If you sell products from another supplier too, test an order with both. [source] [source]

Try the coffee

Path sells samples, and Dripshipper lists sample options on its pricing page. Try the coffees you would sell. Ask what happens if a coffee runs out. Will you get to choose a replacement, and how much notice will you get? This matters if customers come back for the same coffee each month. [source] [source]

Frequently asked questions

Does Path have a minimum order?

There is no minimum for dropshipping. Its separate private-label service, where you ship the orders yourself, lists a 25-bag minimum. Check that you are comparing the service you need.

Is Path cheaper after I pay the setup fee?

Path has no monthly program fee. Your total still depends on coffee, labels, shipping and how many orders you sell.
