During the roasting process, our green coffee beans are roasted under intense heat (up to 347 °F) before a rapid cooling-off process. Once the beans have cooled off, we give them just the right amount of time to “breathe” before sorting them, grinding them, and bagging them.
The roasting process is very advantageous for businesses looking to buy coffee in bulk. While the beans are subject to furnace-like heat, they expand and lose between 15% and 18% of their mass - mostly through water evaporation. This means that our beans are lighter after they have been roasted, and puts money in your pocket that would otherwise have been spent on “water in the beans”.
